The Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida: After School Zone

There are a variety of activities offered at the After School Zone including interactive educational clubs, enrichment field trips, Flag Football, performing arts opportunity and much more. Young Girls on the Move (Y.G.O.T.M.)

Young Girls on the Move, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing leadership, strengthening self-esteem, and building character in preteen and teen girls through educational enrichment, mentorship, counseling, and practical life-skills development. More than an organization, Young Girls on the Move is a sisterhood committed to empowering young ladies to reach their fullest potential.

 

Vision statement: 

Our vision is to empower preteen and teen girls to realize their full potential, develop self-worth, and become influential leaders who positively impact their communities and the world around them.

Mission statement: 

Through education, guidance, outreach programs, and supportive services, we strive to provide positive direction, encouragement, and resources that help young girls overcome challenges, make responsible choices, and become confident, productive members of their communities. We are dedicated to inspiring and equipping every girl to become the best version of herself while making a meaningful impact on the world around her.

Pep Club members help bring school spirit to life by:

  • Cheering at athletic events and school activities
  • Organizing spirit weeks and themed dress-up days
  • Supporting student athletes and academic teams
  • Creating positive energy throughout the school community
  • Helping plan pep rallies and school celebrations
